Commercial Research

Catalyze Your Research With Fecal Microbiota Preparation BioSpecimens

OpenBiome provides stool samples derived from our Boston-based fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) donors to advance commercial microbiome research. Fecal microbiota preparation biospecimens (FMP-BIO) are designed for researchers interested in developing biological tools from the bacteria found in human stool. They are ideal for use in humanized animal models and development of biomarker screening methods. We can also provide access to stool samples from donors that have provided FMT material to clinical trials investing microbiome-based interventions for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease as well as autoimmune and neuropsychiatric disorders.
